AC/DC Bag

My first AC/DC concert. Yes, before the dreaded and over crowded SARS Tribute. Four guys and me in an Astro Van, which I think belonged to Drew? I think there was Kyle (of coarse) Drew, Mike, Christopher and little Jamie Donnely, well I guess that would be five guys and me. How I got roped into that concert I don't know, and I know Merl will call me on the crew line up. But what I remember most is crossing the border into the US. As you do in the Southern Armpit of Ontario, you pick two places to cross the border when going to Buffalo, which is where AC/DC was playing. Or maybe that is the Peace Bridge vs the Tunnel, I do appoligize my Ontario memory is quickly disppearing! ANYWAY! At the border, we made little Jamie the driver, who I think was no more than 15 at the time, and we were 19, but I remember having to "shoulder tap" in the US to get us booze! As I recall we all got high at some Tim Hortons along the way and he was the youngest, least suspectful and innocent. The Border Guard asked us the usual questions, "Where are you from, where are you going, etc" and this I remember distintcly, he reached his head into the vehicle and looked at little Jamie straight faced and shouted, "So your going to the AC/DC concert? How much hash have you guys got?" We were all stunned, silent and shocked, little did I know that Kyle had a quarter down his pants and Drew the same in his sock. And there I am the only girl, looking dumb and confused out the window, good trick for me I never lost the look! Little Jamie did not know how to respond to such a question and fearing his life in the border jail simply and sweetly replied, "None!". And this we will all remember: The guard looked at all of us in our hippie gear, long hair, beards ( not me!) and tye dyes, and said "Yeah right! Go On!" And the guard let us go! He didn't care, I think he thought it was funny frightening the piss out of us! And so he did@! Little did we know at this time of day would we 2 hours later be meeting Angus Young at the Sports Bar of the Delta Hotel. Ask Kyle. What a strange little man. Dirty Deeds, Done Dirt Cheap!
